Goro's art shot in NARA

NARA has the best wood curved structure in Japan. (It is my opinion) The reason is wood curving master named Unkei and his followers. It shows very powerful impression. It is hard to capture it with my small camera, but I tried the best.

NARA the oldest capital of Japan

Nara is the oldest capital of Japan around AD 600. Todaiji Temple has biggest budda statue, and Horyuji temple is the oldest wooden temple structure in Japan. Deer is all around the Todaiji temple like a pet dog or something. We met our friend Juki at Osaka, and took train to Nara. It took about 30 min.

KYOTO

We visit Kyoto during our honeymoon in 1977, so Kyoto has sweet spot for us. Last year Goro and Taizo spent good time in Golden pavilion, philosophers walk, and Kiyomizu temple, so we copied same course but changing golden pavilion to silver pavilion.

GORO's Art Shots

Hi everyone, Goro tried to take some art shots for fun and share with friends.
The picture with daffodil is from my hotel window. the reflected view by the river

surface and daffodil seemed interesting. Other shots are old houses and fun shots.

スナップ写真だけでは面白くないのでちょっと視点を変えた写真を撮ってみました。
清水で泊まったホテルは川の側で水面に映った景色が面白かったのでとりました。

Photos of Mt. Fuji from Shimizu, Japan 3/18/11

These photos are of Shimizu where we saw Mt. Fuji very clearly.  Also there is a photo of our friend Akira Kurita's shop, Van Nuys, where he customizes cars and hot rods.  He has lots of car souvenirs all over the shop.  He showed us a great time in Shimizu

Tokyo to Kiyoto

Hello, we are in Kiyoto.  We left Tokyo as fast as we could.  Our stay in Shimizu was the best so far.  Great hotel with gourmet food.  Very sweet town by the water and Mt. Fuji.

Today we went to the Silver Pavillion and Kiyomizu Temple in Kiyoto.  We will post photos as soon as we figure out how to do that.

We are getting good exercise by walking a lot.

Bye from Shelley and Goro
